Accomodations

Our main hotel features eight suites spread across three levels, all centered around a shared kitchen and comfortable common areas. The first-floor suites offer easy access to the kitchen, breakfast area, and covered waterfront gathering space. The second floor features a shared wraparound balcony with ocean views and refreshing sea breezes. At the top of the building, our largest suite includes two bedrooms and its own private balcony overlooking the water.

Our two spacious casitas are ideal for families and small groups. Each casita is built on two levels, with a master suite bedroom on the main floor and additional sleeping areas upstairs. Both feature private lower decks, upper balconies, and hammocks where guests can relax and enjoy the tropical island atmosphere.

In addition to the hotel and casitas, Tierra Verde also offers The Garden House, a separate building containing three private suites. The house includes three bathrooms, a shared kitchen, and a large social patio, making it an excellent option for larger families, groups of friends, retreats, or guests traveling together.

Explore Isla Carenero

Hotel Tierra Verde is perfectly situated to enjoy everything Isla Carenero has to offer. Just a short walk down the path, you'll find popular local restaurants including Leaf Eaters, Coquitos, Bibi's, Carnitas, and many other local favorites.

A little farther along the island are some of Carenero's most beautiful beaches, known for their excellent surfing, swimming, and relaxing shoreline atmosphere. Along the way you'll discover beach bars, waterfront restaurants, and scenic spots to unwind while enjoying the Caribbean views.

For those who enjoy exploring on foot, the Carenero island hike leads to a lookout point offering beautiful views of the surrounding islands and coastline.

Easy Access to Bocas Town

Several water taxi docks are located directly in front of the property, making it easy to reach Bocas Town in just a few minutes. There you'll find a wider selection of restaurants, cafes, shops, tours, nightlife, and island adventures.

Many guests enjoy the best of both worlds—spending their days exploring the vibrant energy of town before returning to the peaceful and tranquil setting of Isla Carenero.

How to get here

After getting outside the airport, ask a taxi to take you to a boat dock, as you will be needing a boat to Island Carenero. It is also a short walk to the downtown area where there are numourous boat docks. Tell them to bring you to Hotel Tierra Verde on Carenero and make sure to have $2 each to give them to get to our dock....some boat drivers will not have change.
